I enjoy travelling and finding places to visit that feel like home! When I went to Puerto Escondido in August I absolutely loved it. It was a perfect place to unwind and experience Mexican culture. I felt more than welcomed by the community there. Coming from a busy and hectic city, I want to escape city life. I am a non-touristy type of girl and I was able to find that with the village-feel that Puerto offers. If you want touristy things to do though there’s many activities as well for tourists. Good food and restaurants were easy to find and being plant-based wasn’t an issue at all. My favourite restaurant was Piyoli. It was affordable and healthy. We had pancakes and their lentil burgers are the best!
I stayed at Casa De Olas, a boutique hotel while I was there. The staff were very warm, friendly and accommodating. I felt comfortable and safe there
The space is gorgeous and clean. I practiced yoga on the rooftop terrace every day. The waterfall feature pool as my favourite and we ordered fresh guac and salsa every night! The night time vibe of canopy lights and music was lovely. I can’t wait to go back!
